What You Must Know When Packaging

When packaging for a purpose, consider only the specific information requested by the community programs. These are the supplies they need and will be greatly appreciated. The lists are well researched and unsolicited, even with the best intentions, which are largely unsuitable for communities and are likely to have few short-term and long-term benefits.

Before Packing

Check with your airline, travel agent to determine the current baggage allowance to your destination.

For custom rules and regulations, contact the embassy of the country you are visiting. Or you can check with the particular company that you intent to stay at or use. They should be aware of the rules at that travel time.

Sealing and labeling instructions

– At least three strips of pressure-sensitive adhesive should be applied to the plastic band width of at least 5 cm (2 inches) at the upper and lower part of the carton

– Secure all flaps or joints with the H taping method

– Shipping label should be placed on top of the larger area.

School Supplies:

To save space, remove the following objects from their original packaging and place them in the lightest possible fabric resalable bags or plastics: pencils, pens, erasers, solar calculators, protractors and pencil sharpener.

The following items must be stored in their original packaging to avoid damages, no additional shipping supplies are needed: colored pencils, chalks, crayons, wooden and plastic rulers should be wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent damage. Games such as Four®, Dominoes® scrabble, and Bananagrams® must remain in their original packaging.

Medical Supplies:

Be sure to check the customs regulations of the country where you are visiting, if you are planning to take any medicine requested, as what is allowed, depend on the country. In some countries, even legal drugs are not allowed. Any medication you are taking should have an expiration date of no less than eight months after the time you are taking them.

Expensive items such as stethoscopes, tensiometers, and so on must be placed in special shipping supplies like fabric resealable bags or plastics and packed in your hand luggage.

The following new items must be removed from their original packaging and placed in very lightweight plastic or resealable fabric: bandages, band-aids and any other object in which the weight is reduced by removing their original packaging.

Soccer Balls

Soccer balls should be deflated by dampening the needle and gently inserting it into the valve. After the needle is inserted, gently push the balloon upward as long as it does not deflate. Remove the needle and put it on the deflated ball. Deflated balls can be folded to save space. Soft items such as socks may also be disposed in the cavities. Each deflated ball weighs about 1 pound (0.45 kg).

Preparing Perishable Items for Shipment

Perishable products can be exposed to severe environmental conditions such as excessive humidity or temperature, on the way to the destination. However, with careful packaging, it can protect your products, providing proper temperature protection or stability. During transportation, refrigerants and insulation are the key to the preservation of products such as plants, seafood, meat and vegetables, as well as medical and chemical products and dairy. With the right combination of insulation and refrigerants, you can keep products within certain temperature ranges. You can keep food frozen or prevent the freezing of products. It can prevent thawing in hot weather and melting and minimize the impact of short-term changes in temperature.
